Grief is neither a sign of weakness

 nor a lack of faith.

It is the price we pay for love

FOOTSTEPS THROUGH THE VALLEY

LOVE

When love takes flight,

and its wing brushes your face

You close your eyes,

and feel its warmth wrapped around you.

A sense of the presence of your heart’s glow,

leaves you weak, and breathless.

From the birth of this love,

that can not be quenched.

To the eternity that it will live in your soul.

You will feel its touch,

its soft caress, your child, forever more.

This poem came from a card we received from the Costa family. For those who know Craig,, you will recognize him in every verse.

We remember a life today

and all that made him the man he was-

his work,

his gifts,

all that he enjoyed

and found rewarding…

calling to mind

his beginnings,

his journey,

and the wonderful stories

we love to share about him.

We honor a life today

his character,

his integrity,

his commitment

to the things he stood for-

recognizing his good heart,

his sense of humor,

and the helping hand

he so often extended to others.

We celebrate a life today

and all that earned him

the love, the admiration,

the respect of family and friends,

feeling grateful for our time with him,

enriched for having known him,

feeling blessed to have

his remarkable spirit

here among us forever

And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

“A Hundred Years”

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind
I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
Half time goes by
Suddenly you
re wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...
I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you
re on your way
Every day's a new day...
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

“Jesus Take The Wheel”

Jesus, take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own

I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on

Oh Jesus, take the wheel
Oh, I'm letting go

So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on

Jesus, take the wheel
Oh, take it, take it from me
Oh, why, ooh

Death leaves a heartache

no one can heal,

Love leaves a memory

no one can steal.

What must it be to step on shore

….And find it heaven!
To take hold of a hand

  ….and find it God’s hand

To breathe a new air

  ….and find it celestial air!

To feel invigorated

  ….and find it immortality!

To rise from the care and turmoil

Of earth into one unbroken calm

To wake up—and find it glory!

You walked through a door and into the light of the Son,

and found peace and warmth

Now, you rest in the arms of the most high.

What a glorious place to be!

We could not give you anything more than that.

Our tears cover and soak the ground,

and we will carry our sorrow with every beat of our hearts,

until we are joined once again

We love and miss you son

You absence goes through me

Like thread through a needle

Everything I do is stitched with its color
